Lautaro Volcano This mountain 11150 ft high is the only and still active volcano on the Southern Continental Ice Cap. Few people have gotten his summit, just few mountaineers who made the East-West Ice Cap traverse have had the opportunity to reach this valuable summit. The Lautaro expedition will give us the unforgettable view from this distant, wild and solitary summit. |

The Lautaro Volcano summit, part of the Mariano Moreno massif, have a really unusual view with the white Continental Ice Cap carpet on the east side and the most impressive valleys falling straight down into the Chilean fiords, in the Ocean Pacific, on the West side. Few people have able to enjoy a similar experience.
