| CLIMBING___Aguja
Poincenot (2310fts 50º/5.9) 9907fts This is the second bigger colossus in the Fitz Roy Valley. Our advanced Camp will be an ice cave in The Superior Pass. From here, we have a 3hour approach to the bottom of this tower. The first 300m are an easy 50º snow ramp to get the col. that connect the East with the West Face. From here we have to follow a classic not super obvious line to arrive to the Top. The Saint Exupery top is another aerial summit and a great overlook for Cerro Torre, Fitz Roy and the wonderful Continental ice cap. There is a long way down to the ice cave. This an easy line for major principal peak in this region. We'll take 2 extra days in case we need them because there is a bigger commitment than other climbs. |
