TREKKING Crossing The Andes
We enjoy a 12 day long trekking, that we will have the opportunity to sleep in typical mountain lodges and tents, we will trek through valleys and ridges, passing along high mountain lagoons. We will enjoy a typical argentine asado (barbecue) in Pampa Linda at the foot of Mount Tronador (3554m). then we will trek the trail known as Pampa Linda -
Paso de las Nubes around Mt. Tronador (3354m) in N- NW-W bearing to the Chilean - Argentine border. This part is well known by the majestic glaciers of Mt. Tronador and the emerald color waters of Frías lake.
Crossing The Andes
After crossing the border the vegetation changes completely, this part we will right a comfortable bus to Peulla Port. After lunch at the Peulla hotel we will take the ferry over "Todos los Santos" lake from where we will have a great view to the Osorno and Puntiagudo volcano, so typical of Northern Patagonia. Finally we will arrive to Petrohué. From here the rest of our trip will be by car or van, driving around small towns in Chile like Pto. Montt, where we will enjoy a great view to the Pacific Ocean coast from where we will return to Bariloche.
Crossing The Andes
This is one of our most complete trips, including the great experience of crossing the Andes almost on foot - trekking over the Cordillera de los Andes. It is a quiet demanding adventure because of the amount of trekking days and training, although the rhythm is light and adapted to the group pace. If you think is too much for you the whole trekking you can join us just in the shorter parts or just for a couple of days. We will be trekking from 5 to 8 hours daily.

Day 1: After arriving to Bariloche we get ready all the gear and we have a briefing together to introduce the group.
Day 2: We start in Colonia Suiza. We trek along Goye river valley until we reach the spring of the river at Laguna Negra.
Day 3: We climbing col Bailley-Willis to descent later to "Arroyo La Chata" valley.
Day 4: We start our way to the "Las vueltas" mourn, seeing some waterfalls on our way. We climb the "Filo de los Cristales" mountain. We climb down the west face of Cristal mountain reaching Creton lagoon.
Day 5: To get to Illon lagoon we have to first go uphill to the edge of Punta Negra and Capitán mountain col. During our way up we will pass along three lagoons: Creton, Jujuy and Azul.
Day 6: Climb down to Pampa Linda from Illon lagoon. Resting day, so you can do short hikes in the area to Saltillo Las Nalcas.
Day 7: We start our hike to Paso de Las Nubes. This trail goes around Mt. Tronador on its NE and N side, along Alerce river.
Day 8: We hike along Frías river for most of the day to finally arrive to the Frías lake!!, where we will stay overnight.
Day 9: After finishing the border crossing papers we cross to Chile. After an hour of bus ride we get to Peulla where we have lunch at the hotel. From here we take the ferry that will take us to Petrohue over "Todos los Santos" lake with the majestic overview of Puntiagudo and Osorno volcanoes over us.
Day 10: We will drive to the towns of Pto. Varas and Pto. Montt, fishing - tourist town at the Pacific ocean coast. We have lunch at Pto. Montt then we return to San Carlos de Bariloche.
Day 11: We have a parting lunch at a 'parrillada' so typical of our country. End of our trip.
